Came from Bethune, Artois. Arrived on 5 june 1688 on the ship De Schelde and settled at de Soeten, Drakenstein.

du Plooy.paf: He arrived with his parents aboard the ship "Schelde," in 1688. He subsequently owned the farm "Klipvallei," in Waggenmakersvallei, present day Wellington. He moved in 1714 to Rooderzand where he owned the farms, "Artois" and "De Hoop."

Phillipe arrived in the Cape with his parents in 1688 on the ship "De Schelde".
On 28 Feb 1699 he obtained the farm "Klip Vallei" in the Wagenmakersvallei (present day Wellington). He moved in 1714 to Roodezand where he owned the farms, "Artois" and "De Hoop."
Philippe was granted land called "Grootvadersbosch" at Swellendam.
