Jean Prieur du Plessis, b. Poitiers [France] 1638, d. Stellenbosch Dec. 1708, surgeon. Arr. 1688 in the ship “Oosterland” with his wife Marie Menanteau. Returns to Holland, but is later again in the Cape with his second wife Marie Buisset, lr. Sedan (France) (marr. Amsterdam 29.8.1700), d. 1676 (7 children).
